Book Signing Gallery
On December 8, 2021, Ms. Clare launched her book in two phases. The first phase was via a Facebook LIVE interview with her publishing company. The second phase was a public book signing in the Kinney Room at the Marian Wright Edelman Public Library in Bennettsville, SC.
Everyone who purchased a book during the pre-order phase via her website or at the book signing also helped Portia to give back to the community. Up to 10% of all book sales during the book launch and pre-order stage were donated to the Humane Society of Marlboro County.
The Humane Society of Marlboro County provides rescue, safety, and medical care to abandoned animals. This gives the animals a second chance at becoming a family pet, which is near and dear to Ms. Clare’s heart. Her book launch gives an opportunity to support their efforts.
